Born out of the belief that theology (the study of God) and lifestyle (the way we view fashion, work, beauty, art, politics, and so on) are wholly inseparable, and that the hearts of women everywhere are longing for a rhythm of being with God no longer confined to the few hours a week spend inside a church, but that treats every aspect of their lives as an opportunity to cultivate holiness.

In a world full of should
we sing out the
liberating refrain of can.

How great the weight of the should‘s that we all seem to shoulder as women. In the place of “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4v13) we often live – myself included – as though this passage says “I should do all things…” But I know there must be a better way to live, a way that is full of freedom, beauty, and deeper communion with Christ and others. For this reason I founded Adorned, hoping that through its pages we might learn together to put an end to striving, to take back a life worthy of the title, life. A life full to the brim with satisfaction and rest, where we know that we are seen and held within the presence of God. I hope you will join me in exploring how what we think about God (theology) and what we do with our days (lifestyle) can empower us to defeat the voice of what we SHOULD be and do and set us free to walk with confidence into what, through the grace of Christ and the support of community, we CAN be and do.

Here are quick answers to common questions, streamlined for clarity.

Adorned is a triannual magazine, publishing three volumes each year in February, June, and October. This issue frequency fits well into life’s natural rhythms, focusing on journeying with readers through seasonal transitions and the patterns of growth, dormancy, and rebirth ingrained in this world we inhabit.

Volume No. 01 will be released on October 01, 2026.

Preordering assures that you get priority access to volumes when they release, and that your order is at the front of the shipment queue.

When waiting until an issue is already released to order a single copy the risk is that the issue may become backordered (depending upon stock quantity and current demand) and once placed, the order may be further down the fulfillment list.

If holding off on beginning a subscription until after the release of Volume No. 01, please be aware that you will not receive Volume No. 01 as all subscription fulfillments begin with the nearest issue released AFTER the subscription start date. For example, if Volume No. 01 is released on October 1, and a subscriber purchases an annual subscription on October 2, the first issue received by the subscriber will be Volume No. 02 (in February).

The intent of Adorned is to draw readers into deeper relationship with God and with others through editorial examination of matters related to the study of God and life well-lived. This will include a broad range of topics, perspectives, and positions from a diverse set of Christian voices. The primary qualification for the inclusion of a voice offering instruction in faith is the contributor’s beliefs on Jesus’ identity.

Adorned has no intent to editorially promote

  • Specific political affiliations or positions
  • Conclusions on denominational relevance or importance
  • A particular lifestyle preference as the way all Christians ‘should’ live
  • Comparison or striving as the path to a more fulfilling spiritual life

For all orders within the 48 contiguous states, shipping is complimentary (for single issues and all subscriptions). International shipping is not currently available.

When purchasing a gift subscription, please use YOUR address to check out. You will then be mailed a physical gift card containing a code that the recipient of your gift can use to activate their subscription. You are responsible for delivering this gift card to the gift recipient.
